Petit Trianon: Antechamber of Louis XV

The wood-work in this particular room is from 1768 and the fireplace has a very special origin: it was placed at Madame de Pompadour's estate of Elysée in Paris before it was moved to the Petit Trianon on the request of the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel. The marble of the fireplace is sarancolin. It was probably Madame Elisabeth who used this room the most since Louis XVI rarely spent much time at the Petit Trianon.
